Naturally Mined Mica Powder for Soap
The term “mica” is a Latin word which means “to glitter”. Mica is mined from the earth’s natural minerals which are then purified and pulverized into a fine powder which is then used for a dozen numbers of different applications. Such as mica powder for soap , colorful candle making, cosmetic products, home crafts, lip care products, etc. The minerals, from which the mica is mined, have a fragile and crystalline structured layer that gives it a glittering or metallic look. Most of the mica used for soap making are more complex compared to just a powdered mineral particles. Considerably, mica powders are coated with a layer of either iron oxide or titanium dioxide giving the powdered particles more multi-layered and complex color. It is lately then combined with the pigments to give color to the soap.
